Hello! This Monday we bring you a really interesting book called: “One and Seven” by Gianni Rodari and Beatrice Alemagna. It is a book that works on multiculturalism. They work on 7 different nationalities with 7 different boys which, at the end, are the same teaching children and adults. There are no real differences between all us, we are the ones who create these differences. For the activity, we propose a game with pictures of children from all around the world and an online dice until 12 (https://www.tirardado.com/1/12.html). For playing, children have to paint the pictures and cut them so that they can build human chains of as many kids as needed. 

¡Buenas a todos! Este lunes os traemos un libro realmente interesante llamado: “Uno y siete” de Gianni Rodari Y Beatrice Alemagna. El libro trabaja la multiculturalidad desde un punto de vista muy sensible y atractivo. El concepto se ve reflejado en siete niños que viven vidas en diferentes países pero que al fin y al cabo son la misma persona. El libro nos enseña que somos nosotros los que ponemos las barreras y las guerras ya que al fin y al cabo todos los niños son niños. Para jugar con este libro necesitamos varias imágenes para colorear que dejaremos en nuestro enlace a Drive y un dado digital hasta el número 12 (https://www.tirardado.com/1/12.html). El juego se basa en crear una cadena humana utilizando tantos niños como indique el dado. Para ello, los niños podrán disfrutar de colorear sus dibujos y cortarlos ellos mismos.

Today we bring a new resource to work on numbers using these delicious muffins! 🧁 With it, children will work on numbers in four different ways: numbers with the hands, number’s symbols, numbers with dots and written numbers. So, they can recognise the numbers in different contexts. Depending on the knowledge of the children we could give them a clue like in the video or give them empty bottles.

Hello everyone! Another Monday and we bring you all another book. This time we are going to work maths based on: “Una piedra extraordinaria” from Leo Lionni. It’s about three frogs that live in a quiet island until one day that they find an egg. It was another animal! Then, they became so close that they are kind of a family, and that is what we are going to work on: FAMILY. Nowadays, we have a huge diversity of families and we cannot work anymore with the traditional structure of the family tree so we have organized a really manipulative and funny activity for the kids to learn family diversity. Este cuento narra la historia de tres ranas que viven en una tranquila isla hasta que un día descubren un huevo. ¡El huevo contenía otro animal! Todos convivieron hasta crear una gran familia, y eso es lo que queremos trabajar hoy: FAMILIA. En la actualidad, tenemos una gran diversidad en cuanto a familias se refiere y no creemos que podamos seguir utilizando el típico árbol genealógico previamente estructurado por lo que hemos creado una actividad mucho más adaptada. Es muy manipulativa y divertida para que los niños puedan jugar y conocer la diversidad familiar. ¿A qué esperáis? 🤩

Hi everyone! It’s Thursday and so we are back with an operation’s activity. Today we are going to use the fishtanks to make the activity easier and funnier! We can use them for a wide range of different tasks, but we are focusing today on additions and subtractions. What you have to do is: think about the operations you want your children to work on, write them down including the operation signs (+-=) and you can add some challenging operations by sticking on them a star⭐️. Then, print the fishtanks with different number of fishes and go for it! We hope you like it 😉

Este recurso lo podemos usar para un gran abanico de diferentes actividades pero nosotras nos vamos a centrar en las sumas y restas. Lo que tenéis que hacer es: pensar las operaciones que queréis trabajar con los niños, escribirlas incluyendo los signos matemáticos (+-=) y también podéis añadir algunas operaciones como reto pegándole una estrella ⭐️.
